John Hopkins paints the land around him, the Catskills, his current home. As the years have passed, he has never tired of the landcape. Sever years. ago he was told to get his affairs in order, that he had cancer. Mr Hopkins, work changed dramatically, but he is still here. Although his work includes skyscapes, the sun or the moon, the primary body of his work is made up of the hills and shores of the Catskills and the Cape, places that he has lived to which he has some personal connection.
