Green Kill is very excited to announce a very unique  performance by Rodrigo Fischer  on  July,  29, 2017, 8 PM at Green Kill: Carnavalization of a Lonely Man, a work in progress.
Carnavalization of a Lonely Man is an interdisciplinary event, bringing together theater, visual art, videos and technologies. This event will be a solo performance by  Rodrigo Fischer  from the  Brazilian theater group Grupo Desvio.  Fischer hopes to provoke questions such as: is it possible to act without conditioned behaviors?; how can we use the space to stimulate the performance?; and how does the correlation among the body, objects, images and new media can intensify the multiplicity’s discourse from the performance?

Inspired by the novel Notes from Underground by Fiodor Dostoiévski,  Fischer wants to investigate who the underground man would be as an outsider in our day, considering the social, political, cultural and psychological context he lives in. How does the city affect his behavior and how does his behavior affect the city? How can the revolt of loneliness affect the status quo? The underground man seems to be nothing more than a chaotic pile of conflicting emotional impulses; and his conflict may be defined as that of a search for his own character, his quest for himself.
