Dear Performers:

Green Kill is call or the Green kill Performance Program to actors, playwrights, songwriters, comedians and other performers who are really interested in showcasing their art; Green Kill is not a bar space, rather it’s a cultural space.


What physically differentiates Green Kill from other cultural venues is it’s intimate accommodating interior for performances and exhibitions, with 11 foot ceilings and wooden floors, and clean white interior which can hold up to 40 people. Seating includes chairs tables and stools with cabaret tables.


For performance, Green kill has a 17 foot  x 7 foot permanent stage with curtain proscenium, a high end state-of-the-art video system at 10 foot portable screen, a PA system with three mics an stands,  LEd light stands which are for ambiance and can be positioned anywhere in the space, two Chauvet COLORstrips, and a Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot, a music stand, and the ability to create private events by closing  theater curtains across the front windows. Green kill utilizes a Zoom  H6 Recorder and  Sony FDR-AX53 4 K camera to record certain events.

The acoustics are ideal. (No equipment at Green Kill is for rent or loan. The equipment is solely for the use of creatives engaged in activities at Green Kill.)Green Kill is 100 percent for the use by artists and performers presenting original works.

Performer Accommodations:

There is a green room which has chairs, a refrigerator, a full body mirror, a makeup table top, coat rack and privacy.

Cost Formula:

Ticket sales at the door and online at are used to help cover costs for maintenance, electricity, taxes, insurance, and other operating costs. The foremost objective must be to underwrite operating costs so that Green Kill can be sustained.

Green Kill takes 50 percent of total proceeds the performers take 50 percent.

Ticket price is negotiated between Green Kill and the performer.

Selection Process:

Green Kill seeks artists who are personally invested in their art, whose work conveys an individual sense of the world and who help us understand our humanity and the historical conditions in which we live.

Green Kill works directly with performers. Green Kill special programs may be developed in which an organizer works directly with Green Kill to develop programs.
Green Kill is not a rent a space and Green Kill does not work with third-party organizations or consultants.

Performers can contact Green Kill at or they may be recommended.

Performers may be local, national and international.

Benefits to Performers

Performers are promoted on social media, including the @229Greenkill Facebook page and through @229Greenkill events pages, the @GreenKillUsers Twitter page, the Green Kill Google+ page, and the Green Kill Tumblr page.

In addition, all posts on are sent out to its 1000 plus subscribers.

Performers are promoted on Kingston Happenings and Art Mid-Hudson websites, by press releases sent to the Kingston Daily Freeman and the Kingston Times. The Green Kill Broadsheet promotes the individual programs at Green kill and often feature spots to participating Green kill performers. The Green kill Broadsheet is distributed in Kingston, New Paltz, Saugerties, and Woodstock.

Performers must Green Kill Policies read and the Contract before setting a performance date at Green Kill. The Policy Sheet explains all the procedures and requirements.

Green Kill will add the performance listings to the Green Kill Performance and Events pages.

Performers must cover costs bringing equipment to Green Kill.
