About  Valery Oisteanu

Valery Oisteanu is a writer and artist with international appeal, he adopted Dada and Surrealism as a philosophy of art and life. Immigrating to New York City in 1972, he has been writing in English for the past 46 years.
Oisteanu is the author of 10 books of poetry in English, 3 in Romanian, a book of short fiction and a book of essays:”The AVANT-GODS”.
Recently he published a new book of “Lighter Than Air”  visual poetry collages in Spuyten Duyvil Press,NYC,2017
Valery is a recipient of major awards of avant-garde: Aker Award (2013) for poetry performance,” Chivot (Cavalier) of the citadel” for disseminating the Romanian avant-garde ,2012 and “The End of the World as we know it” a Vault NYC award in 2001.
Currently he is working on a new book of short fiction : “Blind Man Tours”
