About “Infernal Dreams”
“Infernal dreams” is the first production of the newly-formed KETC (“Kingston Experimental Theatre Company”) founded at Green Kill in Kingston, New York. It is a short play based on the work of Dante’s The Inferno, from The Divine Comedy, 1320.
Director Nathan Young and company have fashioned the script from Longfellow’s translation of Dante, highlighting various characters throughout the poem. Join Dante on his trip to the underworld, explored in song and movement by the ensemble of demons, animals and damned souls.
KETC aims to entertain while dealing with the subject of death, loss, hell, sin and ultimately by bestowing hope as Dante emerges from hell with the guidance of his mentor, Virgil and the grace of his lost love, Beatrice.
