Green Kill was the perfect, intimate theater to produce my plays in. I was assisted in every possible way, both technical and personal, to make my work come alive on the stage. I would advise any aspiring playwright, musician, or spoken word artist to bring their best work to the Green Kill, a truly first rate and welcoming venue.

—Mark Morganstern, Playwright and novelist.

In 2020, Green Kill will present “Voice Less Readings,” every Thursday from 8 to 10 PM. Free coffee will be served if more than 10 people attend a Session.

About Voice Less Readings

Every Thursday offers an open mic opportunity, beginning promptly at 8 PM. Poets sign in as they arrive, and may do so if they arrive late. Reading order follows the numbered list. Every reading is about five minutes —this is not a strict rule. After six readers there is a break, and then the next group reads. If there are six or less readers,  there may be another round of reading by the same group if there is agreement.

Feature and Book Event Nights

Artists may schedule a feature night or book launch. These events will be announced as they are scheduled.  Where ther is a feature, the reading begins promptly at 8 PM, and after six readings there is a break and then a 30 minute reading by the Feature.

Permanent Host

There may be a regular host for one or more of the Thursdays in 2020. This will be announced in the coming months.
