About Jude Roberts

Screen Shot 2019-10-29 at 12.27.55 PM

Evocative and refreshingly melodic, Jude Roberts’ music makes you feel as though you’ve rediscovered a song you never knew. His record “Perfect Shell” showcases a diversity of songwriting styles and captures the connectivity of his live performances. It features pedal steel, guitar and co-production by Rob Stein (The Mammals feat. Mike + Ruthy, Johnny Society, Bob Dylan Band).

Jude was selected to perform at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival 2018 as part of the emerging artist showcase.

In his sound one can hear influences of English, Irish and Appalachian folk music. Listening deeper, one can find the impressions of baroque and Romantic-era classical pieces and European folk/pop. A unique amalgam of style and talent, Jude Roberts draws the listener inward and invites them to dive in deep.

About Mary Hood

Screen Shot 2019-10-29 at 12.27.36 PM

Mary Hood is a rising voice from a digital generation singing about old-school themes like loneliness, love, loss, and longing with twisting acoustic guitar and a reedy, soulful voice. Her music stands alone, but her main influences Fiona Apple and Shakey Graves can be heard in her raw and resonant style, while others have compared her lyrics and storminess to acoustic legends Elliot Smith and Nick Drake.

Mary performed at Pleasantville Music Festival in the summer of 2017, her name in the line up with well-known artists Suzanne Vega, Blues Traveler, and Living Colour. She has also performed at other festivals and venues in the Hudson Valley area and New York City, including Newburgh Illuminated Festival, The Bitter End, and the Towne Crier.

Mary’s hypnotic sound captivates an audience while her unique fingerpicking weaves through each lyric, creating a musical storyline all its own.

Vocalist/guitarist/percussionist Marji Zintz fronts Becoming Human, a newly formed trio (and sometimes quartet), which performs music composed by guitarist Jim Kunkel and bassist Mickey Kopchak. They explore and inhabit many genres across the musical spectrum, from folk to jazz, modal to avant-garde, spiritual to classical to Brazilian. They honor the space and each other’s unique and evolving “voice,” creating and holding a fertile ground for conversation, interplay, improvisation, and emotion.
