On Thursday November 7, at 7:30 PM, Voice Less Readings will be an open-mic event with a volunteer host.

On Thursday November 21 at 7:30 PM, Robert Tomlinson who co-founded with Michelle Williams“394: Spoken” a monthly poetry reading in the Village of Catskill, NY,  will guest-host the Voice Less Readings. His featured poets will be Tom Bonnville, Brian Dewan, Rita Gentile, Rodney Alan Greenblatt and Andrea Mitchell.

A 1-5 dollar contribution is appreciated at Voice Less events. BYOB. Free coffee served.

About Tom Bonnville 


I have lived and worked in the Hudson River Valley all my life.    I regularly read, write and converse with the Rensselaerville Poets, as well as participate in open mics, including 394 Main in Catskill, every fourth Monday of the month.  I have most recently been published in the February, 2019 edition of Chronogram magazine, as well as in the Albany Poets annual poetry journal, UP THE RIVER, Issues 6 and 7.  I was a finalist in the 2019 Stephen A. DiBiase Poetry Contest with the poem, “The Smoke,” awarded as a Commended Poem.

Brian Dewan is a visual artist and musician represented by Pierogi gallery in New York. His published recordings feature original songs as well as collected historical folk and popular songs. His I-CAN-SEE filmstrips have been screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the New Museum, Modern Art Oxford and the Museum of Jurassic Technology. He lives in Catskill, NY.

Rodney Alan Greenblat is an internationally recognized visual artist, author and musician. His career of wild, colorful paintings and constructions spans more that thirty years. Andrea Mitchell is an upstate local. She lives in a wild forest, in the middle of a village, with her partner, their two boys, and two cats. She has been writing poetry for most of her life.

About Robert Tomlinson


Robert Tomlinson has served as executive director and curator for The San Jose Institute for Contemporary Art, Gallery One Visual Arts Center and the Oregon Arts Alliance. He has curated and installed over 100 exhibitions and created a gallery for the developmentally disabled. A working artist, Tomlinson has conducted his own studio practice for over 35 years. In 2011 he co-founded 13 Hats, a group of artist and writers that collaborated for two years on a wide range of creative projects and exhibitions. His work has been featured in 35 solo shows and over 50 group exhibitions. Prior to moving to Catskill, NY, Tomlinson servedon the board for the newly formed, Ash Creek Arts Center, which he helped to start.  Tomlinson was co-founder & co-editor for the arts & literary quarterly journal.
